How many bird species can we find in Umatilla County in one year?
Bird club members have an opportunity to participate in the fun of finding out. During 2008, this link on the bird club website will keep track of the species recorded for the County. If you observe a species that hasn't been seen this year (see the list below), please send your sighting to Dave Herr at dsherr@oregontrail.net .
Check in regularly to find out which birds have or haven't been reported.
In 2003 and again in 2005 birders reported 244 species in the County;
in 2004, birders reported 259 species.
Can we find more than 259 this year?
Well, whether we do or don't, we will have fun trying.
